This summer I'm spending some time volunteering at the Museum of English Rural Life, working with their collection of nineteenth century smocks.

On September 19th & 20th I'll be teaching a smocking workshop at the Museum, where you can apply some traditional stitches to a pretty gingham bag. Have a look at the events programme for more details.

I'm currently looking for work!

Ideally I'd like to take on some freelance proofreading, typesetting or research and writing that I can complete from home. I'm also happy to teach sewing and crafts workshops for a variety of techniques. If there's anything I can help you with, just send an email to claire@designbyclaire.co.uk.
