Massage & Aromatherapy
In 2006 I gained a professional qualification in Holistic Massage, with a view to becoming an Aromatherapist. Unfortunately the second half of the course was cancelled and I wasn’t able to formally complete the aromatherapy training. I'm waiting for the right opportunity to resume studying towards further qualifications in this area, but I’ve continued to use aromatherapy in my daily routine, and learned how to make my own cosmetic products.
I’m particularly interested in the history and folklore surrounding traditional plant-based remedies, both cosmetic and therapeutic. Over the past few years I've started to grow a small variety of fruit and vegetables, and am learning about wild plants which can be used in both food and cosmetics.
I've just started a new blog which will share my ongoing research in these areas.
