Music & Theatre

I've played musical instruments and sung in choirs for as long as I can remember.

I've sung with the Staffordshire Youth Choir, Reading University Chorus, Reading Festival Chorus and I'm currently part of the Witt Studio Chorus. I occasionally take part in concerts with The Really Big Chorus. I'm definitely a soprano.

As far as instruments go, I used to play the French Horn with the Staffordshire Youth Wind Orchestra and the South Berks Concert Band. I'm currently playing recorder (descant and tenor) with the Aldbrickham Clog & Step Dancers, and learning to play the english concertina.

In 2011 I became involved with Progress Theatre, when I was asked to be part of the costume design team for their production of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. A fantasy play set in an alternate version of London, this was a great opportunity to let my imagination run wild, and to design clothes that I wouldn't normally get to make.

The next production I've agreed to work on is the summer Shakespeare, Henry IV Part 1. A complete contrast, it will be a pleasure to work on some historically accurate pieces.
